What is a digital story? A digital story is a way that people can express the way they feel threw a story based poem. The story is very short and creative; the story teller puts together images, narration, graphics, and music to grasp the attention of its readers. The story should be 3-5 minutes long and no longer than 8 minutes. The storyteller produces the story, meaning they provide the music and the words that they want to choose. Most digital story are personal and have meaning to them, they can be sad or depressing to exciting and hilarious.
Digital stories are modern expressions that were used by the people in the ancient days. The people of the ancient day used these stories to help express the way their felt and their thought on the world. A digital based story is practice on the computer, it is the given the name digital because all of its work is provide on the computer. These stories are based on a specific point or point of view that the author would like to share or discuss with their viewers. Some digital stories are personal or sometimes based on a national and historic event.
Most people never understand the concept of what a digital story is unless they see one for themselves. In order to grasp the concept of a digital story one must be able to observe and view a good digital story. Digital stories can also be defining as a short tales from someone heart, because the author puts a lot of work into the story. Digital stories can also be a part of the multimedia views because you have to gather information and use the information in your thought to develop a well define digital story. A digital story should always be meaningful to the author, or it would make any sense.
A digital story can also be very emotional, because it is words and meanings coming straight from the heart of the storyteller. Most digital story is based on true situations that the story teller want threw in life. The digital stories can also be based on a historic movement that shapes the way you live or the way you perceive life. No digital story can be wrong, because it’s personal; meaning nothing or no one can dispute your digital story. Digital stories are a way of sharing and carrying on storytelling, without it ever being lost.
When I was young, I would always visit the island of St. Kitts; their great-grand mother used to always tell stories. I wish she was still alive because if we had need about digital storytelling, she would have been a star in the storytelling category. Her stories were always meaningful and true, most of them she carried for years in her heart. I say that because not knowing about the digital story telling really made me wonder and think about how different life would be if there was more knowledge on it. Digital story telling is a good way for us as humans to carrying on our lifestyle without it every being buried in the box someone.
