What is telecollaborative lesson plan? A telecollaborative lesson plan is a plan design to help students who are in the film and television setting. This lesson plan is based on somewhat digital story telling. Its design is to help students tell a story and still be able to narrate it. There is a lot of teamwork that has to be done in this lesson plan and a lot of budgeting as well. This lesson is based on how well you can manage a low budget film, and how well you can perform.
A telecollaborative lesson plan is an educational project that involves sharing useful information with another person or a group of individuals throughout the internet. Students can also learn how to socialize among their own peers. They are also a lot of planning, researching, scheduling, budgeting, and challenges in this lesson. This lesson takes a lot of time and steps, and it can cost you to mess up the whole project. This lesson plan deals with evaluation because the students are the ones that gather all the information.
Most of this lesson plan is done over the internet so that the students can interact with other students outside their classroom. This is such a useful tool that students can share information threw the net with people that they don’t even know. The whole purpose of this lesson plan is to help students from different cultures interact with other cultures. America is so diverse now, so this lesson plan is a very diverse lesson plan; it’s not just for one culture. This is more a group of students coming together to master different issues and values that they are not aware of, or accustom to.
Telecollaborative lesson plan is like a constructivist lesson plan, they both share the same elements. The only difference that they both share is that telecollaborative lesson plan is more based on the web kind of setting. They both let the students choose their objectives and then they get evaluated after each step is concluded. Despite the similarities these to lesson plan help develop the child mind state. Even though they both evaluate their students each lesson is design to understand if the student learnt anything while the teacher taught.
Before reading many different articles, I didn’t really know what a telecollaborative lesson plan was. That’s what I liked about this class, it opens your mind so that you can be able to interpret and realize the necessities of a lesson plan. Using the web to develop a lesson plan is so much researching, but I know that the outcome would be good when you start to create your own unique lesson plan. The most important thing about this lesson plan is that everyone can do it, and parents can monitor what their child is doing. This lesson plan is very useful, because it can be learning experience to those who to use the web and it different programs.

This semester wasn’t really the best semester I had, but I came to realize that in life everything isn’t always good. While pursuing my education career, I was faced with many different obstacles that were thrown my way. This class made me realizes that you always have to be on point with your assignment, or you will get left behind. Overall this class was very educational, and it taught me a lot about how to develop lesson plans. This course was also an eye opener to information that I learned in the past.
This course is a valuable source if you’re really willing to get into the teaching career. Honestly I have learned more in this class than any other educational class that I have taken. It was a lot of hard work that I really couldn’t keep up with. This course also helps me to realize that I procrastinate too much, and this could be a bad choice for me. Even though it was a lot to interpret, I still tried my best to understand what was being taught to me.
My most valuable experience in this class had to complete the digital story. The digital story is a multimedia story that is used to express how a person may feel about themselves or something historic to them. This assignment was very new to me, like all the other assignments but I think I manage to complete it the best way I can. There were also another assignment that was very challenging to me, and it was the lesson plans. Wow! I never knew that a lesson plan would be so difficult to do.
I have notice that there are many different ways of creating a lesson plan, because everyone has their own sense of still when it comes to learning. Currently at the school I work at, the director of the school does the lesson plan totally different to the ones that I have made in this course. Despite the difference between them, they both are design to make sure that each student learns. Each just has different learning methods in which they follow to make the students learn differently. Even though everyone has their own philosophy on education, we all sure the same views as well.
In conclusion, there are many different ways in creating the way you view education. While in this class, I obtain a lot of knowledge of many different assignments. Now I can use what I have learn to educated my students, with all the information that I have overcome while in this class. The class was the nourishment that I needed to help mold me in becoming an inspiring teacher at such a young age. I really did enjoy this class, but I felt that it was very overwhelming with a lot to digest in just one semester. Overall, I will recommend anyone in education to take advantage of the information given in this class.

My philosophy on education is quite simple, because education is always the key to success. Becoming is teacher isn’t just something that comes natural to some, but for other it is. As a child growing up in the Virgin Islands, I have always wanted to be two things a police officer or a teacher. As a child, a police was the most exciting and fun career; until you started hearing more and more police getting shot down in the street. Then my whole mind state shifted to my second option, which was to become a teacher.
Being from Caribbean decent, my parents were always strict on our education; and it helped me to realize more and more that teaching was the right decision for me. Despite the fact that my parents wanted me to work in the medical field, because they need that science was and still is my favorite subject. The decision was up to me, and it was made. Teachers are very well respected in some areas, they might not be the best paid individuals; but they always strive to make a difference in their student’s life. This is where my journey begins in providing a suitable and learning environment for educational purposes.
As a preschool teacher a well defined school that is well respected in the City of Miami; it has made it clear enough for me to see that teaching is something that motivates me to strive for knowledge. Every morning while walking into my classroom, seeing those smiles, frowns, and tears opens a drive within me to continue doing what was asked of me to do. Sometimes you just feel like grabbing your students, the ones that doesn’t seem to be quite interested in school and just telling them that this is what’s best for you, so take advantage of it now. They might be too young to understand, but you know that one day they will get it. You as the enforcer or the mentor should step up to the plate and try guiding them towards that path that you planted for them.
Education is something that should never be washed away because his knowledge that is there should never decay. Sometimes we tend to forget about what we have learned, but as soon as a little information grasps our attention; were back on track. With guidance and approach, your philosophy should be very enlightened to your students; no matter what. As a teacher we have to mold these kids into what we were mold into, so that the torch would never die out. Many people come up with their own philosophy on education whether it was Maria Montessori, Albert Einstein, or john Dewey; these people had a set philosophy for teaching.
In conclusion, I have been very blessed to work with different philosophies from Maria Montessori. Montessori thought that all children develop on their own time frame, and she didn’t believe in using assessment to know where each student stands within a classroom. My philosophy is quite similar to Montessori because my philosophy isn’t to burden my students with a lot of tests and quizzes. My philosophy is to let all my students feel the same, and receive the same education as every other student; despite their learning ability. I will try to develop the child’s mind state more than trying to assess each child with tests and quizzes. I feel that education should not be based on what the child knows, but more on understanding what the child is receiving from each lesson.

What is a digital story? A digital story is a way that people can express the way they feel threw a story based poem. The story is very short and creative; the story teller puts together images, narration, graphics, and music to grasp the attention of its readers. The story should be 3-5 minutes long and no longer than 8 minutes. The storyteller produces the story, meaning they provide the music and the words that they want to choose. Most digital story are personal and have meaning to them, they can be sad or depressing to exciting and hilarious.
Digital stories are modern expressions that were used by the people in the ancient days. The people of the ancient day used these stories to help express the way their felt and their thought on the world. A digital based story is practice on the computer, it is the given the name digital because all of its work is provide on the computer. These stories are based on a specific point or point of view that the author would like to share or discuss with their viewers. Some digital stories are personal or sometimes based on a national and historic event.
Most people never understand the concept of what a digital story is unless they see one for themselves. In order to grasp the concept of a digital story one must be able to observe and view a good digital story. Digital stories can also be defining as a short tales from someone heart, because the author puts a lot of work into the story. Digital stories can also be a part of the multimedia views because you have to gather information and use the information in your thought to develop a well define digital story. A digital story should always be meaningful to the author, or it would make any sense.
A digital story can also be very emotional, because it is words and meanings coming straight from the heart of the storyteller. Most digital story is based on true situations that the story teller want threw in life. The digital stories can also be based on a historic movement that shapes the way you live or the way you perceive life. No digital story can be wrong, because it’s personal; meaning nothing or no one can dispute your digital story. Digital stories are a way of sharing and carrying on storytelling, without it ever being lost.
When I was young, I would always visit the island of St. Kitts; their great-grand mother used to always tell stories. I wish she was still alive because if we had need about digital storytelling, she would have been a star in the storytelling category. Her stories were always meaningful and true, most of them she carried for years in her heart. I say that because not knowing about the digital story telling really made me wonder and think about how different life would be if there was more knowledge on it. Digital story telling is a good way for us as humans to carrying on our lifestyle without it every being buried in the box someone.

What is cooperative and collaborative learning? Cooperative learning is a specific type of collaborative learning, in which students work together in a small group on different step by step projects. They are individually responsible for their work, and the work of the group as a whole is also assessed. They also work side by side as a team, there is no individualize work. In this type of learning the students get to understand each other, whether it’s their weakness or their strengths. They give to develop their way of communicating among their peers.
They also learn how to deal with everyday issues among the group, whether it’s bad or good. They deal with it, because it helps them to deal with any conflict that becomes a burden to them or their following classmates. Their come up with different objectives to help them grasp the different activities that they have to learn. They also do different activities so that they can understand and explore the different areas of studies. In cooperative learning the teachers become learners, they basically listen to what the students has to say.
What is collaborative learning? Collaborative learning is method of teaching and learning that helps students to work as a team. It’s like a group project, in which a lot of team work is needed. Everyone pitches in ideas in order to conclude an assignment. The students are in control, the teacher just sit back and assess what the students have put together. The students are putting ideas together so that they can share what they have learned among each other.
The students can exchange what they learn over the internet to other students within the group. Some students share information threw the web to help grasp and continue the word spread of their assessments. This is also an example of cooperative learning, so they both share the same comparisons. They both are educational ways of learning among a group and you own peers at the same time. Working in groups within these learning are based upon teamwork. If you notice, there is no “I” in teamwork; teamwork is very important in cooperative and collaborative learning.
In conclusion I like the way that both learning bases educate students on communication. Most students aren’t really interpersonal among their peers, so they definitely help build a child’s communication stage. Most students, like I don’t really like to work in groups; whether it’s because you’re nervous or you just rather work on your own in completing an assignment.
If you also notice respect must be given to each member, because you can’t have anyone walking out of a group project. That may cause you to fail! Sometimes working in a group can bring about stress on one person who would rather do all the work because others aren’t really reaching or meeting their standard. I can relate to that, because in high school I had many group projects that always ended up bad.

What is an inquiry-based learning? An inquiry-based learning is mostly the philosophy of teaching within the classroom. This type of learning should be based around the student, meaning their philosophy. This learning also helps students to work together in solving problems without the teacher telling them what to do. Many students have different ways of learning and comprehension, so this type of learning helps them to understand and still learn whatever way that they can benefit from.

In the inquiry-based learning the teacher doesn’t supply the student with any knowledge. The students basically learn on their own, without any instructions from the teacher. The teacher doesn’t exist in the inquiry-based learning, the teacher is just there to supervise and learn from the students, or see what the student is learning with the teacher assisting them. The teacher is just seen as a facilitator in the classroom, the students acknowledge the teacher; they know that the teacher is there. The students basically learn to not ask the teacher for assistants and discuss whatever information they have amongst each other.

The inquiry-based learning can be seen as a form of the constructivist lesson plan. It is seen that way because it helps the student to develop their knowledge from what they have learned. The students can display what they learn by exhibiting and writing reflection papers to help display what they have learned. The teacher can also use assessment to understand what each student concept or state of mind is by giving them these critical thinking assignments. The student follow the constructivist lesson plan within the inquiry-based learning by using most of the elements found within it.

A form of the inquiry-based learning is problem based learning; this is when the students develop the objectives among each other. The student begins the concepts from the beginning to the end, without any help from a teacher. They do problem solving in order to develop their minds into whatever knowledge that they need to know.In this type of learning the students are able to have an open mind on what there are doing, no answer is right; nor are they wrong. They are many different examples of inquiry-based learning, that’s why it’s so open within the educational system.

This type of learning can be good and can be bad in many different ways. I understand that the teacher would be inside the classroom, but when the student needs help, they have to ask each other. If they needed to know an answer, that could be right or wrong; how would they know?
I like it but then, it mess with the direction of education. Meaning, they wouldn’t need teachers as much as they do now. Teachers would be out of jobs, it’s like the technology and the ways of learning would change the whole view on education. What would it mean for the teachers that would like to spread their philosophy on education?

What is a constructivist lesson plan? Well from my understanding a constructivist lesson plan is basically how well the student can show feedback on what they have learned throughout the lesson. The teacher gives the students assignments so that they can get back their knowledge on the activities that were offered to them. This constructivist lesson plan is a very detailing lesson plan, because it digs in deep into the mind of the students. It is called the constructivist lesson plan; because it was develop for the students in order for the teacher to know whether they understood the lecture reasonable.

The constructivist lesson plan has six important elements that each teacher must follow. These elements are situations, grouping, bridge, questions, exhibit, and reflections. Each of these six basic elements is design to help a teacher understand what the child is thinking. For example a teacher must create a situation, whether by grouping or bridging. Then the teacher as questions just so that they can get to know where that child’s mind state is in, after the teacher lets the students showcase and reflect on whatever knowledge they may have on the situation.

In a situation, the teacher must have a plan on how to teach the lesson to their students, and also they must see if the lesson is understandable so that the student can grasp it quickly. By grouping, the teacher is trying to find a way to peer up the students, whether it’s by twos, threes, or whether they feel that would help their students. Bridging is basically pointing the students into a certain direction; meaning whatever direction they feel is best for their student. Questions help to make teachers job easier for them because it opens a light of where each student stand, showing the teachers who may need the most work on, or even one on one time with the teacher. In exhibit, the teacher gets to see the more creative side of their student; because this is the time the student gets to showcase what they learn in their own unique way.

When a student writes how they feel about what they have learned, it is called a reflection paper. The student is looking back on what they have or may have learned in the present in order for the teacher to know if they understood the concept of the lesson. This paper is basically the big picture of what you learned within the time you been in the classroom. The information can be grasping from the teacher themselves or from within a book that the student has or had interprets. This is the general feedback that the teacher can learn different things from their student.

From doing the lesson plan handout and power-point, I strongly believe that the constructivist lesson plan is mostly the best lesson plan. It helps the student to do some heavy thinking, whether they are working by themselves of in a group. The teachers get to ask the students questions in order to figure out what they learned from each lessons. Sometimes the teachers also let the student come up with questions, just to see if they can structure sentences into questions. Overall I must say that I enjoyed the different lesson plans, but the constructivist lesson plan is the best way that a teacher can get feedback from a student.
